Understanding the Basics of First Aid and Emergency Procedures

Babysitters and childminders should have a basic understanding of first aid and emergency procedures in order to handle unexpected situations. This includes knowing how to respond to common injuries such as cuts, burns, and bruises, as well as how to recognize and respond to signs of illness or distress. Babysitters and childminders should also be familiar with emergency procedures such as calling 000, performing CPR, and evacuating in the event of a fire or other emergency.
